Webinar: Smart Quoting

Here is the recording of our latest training webinar on D3M's newest feature, Smart Quoting!

This month's webinar covered our newest feature, Smart Quoting, where as you utilize D3M to quote systems, it will learn your preferences and start automatically quoting your networks!

The webinar starts with a brief overview of D3M and then jumps into how to upload your quote parts into D3M. This is a super important step, as it is what allows you to use the quote tool with your exact pricing. Learn more about uploading and managing your quote parts here.

We then show you the 3 different ways in which you can add quote parts to your project:

  1. Smart Quoting (NEW): As you utilizes D3M to quote your systems, the app will learn your preferences and start automatically quoting networks for you! It associates your most commonly used quote parts with icons and learns as you use it.
  2. Icon Bundles: Build your most used networks designs, including quote parts, and save them for use on later projects. Simply drag the icon bundle from your Icon Library and add or remove parts where necessary, with the quote parts already in place.
  3. Quoting Cables & Connections (NEW): Quote the connections between your devices to allow you to calculate the cost of cabling for your network design. Simply double click the connection to access the Link Editor where you can add a quote part.

From there we dive into the importance of reviewing your quote, ensuring all parts, support and maintenance costs are accounted for. We then explain how you can easily create and share your quote and/or sales proposals with your customers from within D3M. This allows for consistent, professional documentation throughout your company.

We had a great turnout and want to thank everyone who attended! For those of you who couldn't make, below is a recording of the webinar. To see our icon libraries for yourself, start a free D3M trial or log back in!
